Privacy Policy
How the ORACLE Insight public website operates and how the planned desktop Google Ads integration is intended to use authorized data.
1. Who we are
ORACLE Insight (“ORACLE,” “we,” or “the project”) is an independent e-commerce market research software project in development. Its informational website is theoracleinsight.com. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
2. Information collected through this website
This website is a static informational website. It does not currently offer user registration, advertising account connections, contact forms, payment processing, or first-party analytics scripts. If you email us, your message and email address will be used to respond to your inquiry.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. As the hosting and network provider, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP addresses, request times, and security signals according to its own policies. We do not claim that visiting the website is anonymous to network providers.
3. Google Ads API and Google user data
The separate ORACLE desktop research integration is being developed to use Google's OAuth authorization process, with the Google Ads permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords), to obtain access only when an authorized user chooses to connect an Ads account. Its intended purpose is to retrieve keyword ideas, historical search-volume information, and other authorized Google Ads research metrics for e-commerce market analysis. The exact data available depends on the account permissions and Google's API access level.
The public website does not itself connect to Google Ads, receive OAuth tokens, or ask visitors for Google passwords. Where the desktop integration is enabled, authorization credentials and retrieved data are handled by that installed integration, subject to its actual configuration. Before using or distributing that integration, the operator must confirm that token storage, data retention, sharing, and deletion practices match this policy and any in-app notice.
Google Ads data is intended to support the requesting user's own research. It is not intended to be sold as personal data or used for unrelated advertising targeting. Any connected external processing services, if configured, must be disclosed to users before their Google user data is sent to them.
4. Storage, retention and deletion
The public website does not maintain its own database of visitors or Google Ads account data. If the desktop integration stores tokens, exports, cached research results, or other files on the operator's device, their retention and deletion are governed by that software's configuration. Users should review their local files and integration settings. Google account access can also be revoked in Google Account third-party connections.
5. Sharing and security
Technical website requests are handled by the hosting/network provider. We do not operate a public user-data resale service. We aim to limit access to data to what is necessary for the stated research purposes, but no internet-based service or locally installed software can guarantee absolute security.
6. External services and links
Links to Google, Cloudflare and other external websites lead to services governed by their respective privacy notices. Those providers are independent of ORACLE Insight.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice if the website or integration changes. Any published revision will appear on this page with a new effective date. The desktop integration should not begin accessing additional categories of Google user data without corresponding notice and any required consent.
8. Contact
Questions about data access or privacy can be directed to [email protected].
Project status: ORACLE is in development. This policy describes the static website as implemented and the proposed desktop integration at a high level. Before OAuth verification or public rollout, the project owner should review and update the desktop-data sections to match the actual source code and deployment.
